Biscuits and Gravy Breakfast Casserole

Ingredients

1 can of instant biscuits
1 Pack of maple sausage
4 eggs
3 and 1/4 cups of milk
2 tbsp. of butter
1/4 cups of flour
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. Tear biscuits into pieces and place into bottom of casserole dish.
  2. In a cast iron skillet cook sausage and once cooked place on top of biscuits but keep the drippings for your gravy.
  3. Add four eggs with 1/4 cup milk & salt and pepper into a bowl and whisk and then pour into the casserole dish.
  4. Add 2 tablespoons butter to the cast iron skillet and 1/4 cups flour
  5. Mix this into a rue.
  6. Slowly incorporate 3 cups of milk into the rue.
  7. Bring gravy to a boil and then season with salt and pepper and remove from heat.
  8. Pour gravy directly on top of casserole and cook in oven at 420 for 25 minutes.
  9. Cool for 20 min and enjoy!
